Pathfinder Society Scenario #48: The Devil We Know—Part IV: Rules of the Swift

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7).

In the conclusion of the Devil We Know campaign arc, you are called once more to Cassomir, where a mass abduction of the residents of Swift Prison has the entire town in a panic. Venture-Captain Hestia Themis once more partners you with an Aspis agent to see what link the Swift Prison event has to the earlier kidnapping of a Pathfinder agent. You will explore an empty prison, delve the tunnels below, and come face-to-face with the source of Cassomir's troubles in a vile grotto deep beneath the city.

Rules of the Swift is the fourth and final installment of the Devil We Know campaign arc.

(This is a Pathfinder Society Organized Play Adventure.  If you're already a member of this living campaign and have never played this adventure and have a character in this range, then you're good.  If you're interested in trying a living campaign (or just this living campaign), you're also invited.  Just head over to Paizo's web site and find the Pathfinder Society campaign document and make a legal character.  If you're really new (never played Pathfinder before) you can find details for character creation and more at www.d20pfsrd.com.)

    I'd like a pre-gen please. Maybe a ranger type?

Yeah - you're right. I hate to admit it, but you're right. Gun slingers are just ... yuck in a medieval fantasy setting. Also, I would not suggest one for a player who is not completely familiar with how they work.

Well, as an old school gamer, the gun slinger is nothing I bothered to read up on, not unless there's someone about to run a "Dark Towers" campaign...
I don't have access to a printer, so if there's someone who could be kind enough to print out a cleric...
If I recall correctly, the tiers refer to xp and loot, right? Is two years absence excuse enough to forget some things?

Right now, as far as I know the doc of secondary objectives has not been issued, so we're still operating under the temporary rule they used at Gen Con. Does anyone want to run the traditional faction missions for flavor? Otherwise, the main objective is really all that matters. Respond to this post with your opinion.

I'm for the faction missions for flavor Ty unless it's easier for you to disregard them. I'm fine with that to.

I know that Bruce has a first level character but is not completely opposed to using a pre-gen. What level is everyone else at?

Please make sure that you have the new inventory tracking sheet printed out for your character. Thanks.

Where can i go to download it? I assume its on the PFS main sight?

      August 22, 2013

    • Tyrel

Yeah - actually if you get the update of the latest campaign doc, it's on the last page. Also, if you search the forums, some people have made Google Docs of specialized tracking sheets for things like wands and ammunition, and according to the forum posts, they are legal to use. I didn't bother saving any of those yet, bit I know that there are some of my characters I will want to use them for.

Craig - if you can make it even close (by 1pm) and can let us know which character you will be playing, then come. I'm mostly doing the early start this time to mesh-up with my wife's 4E game.
