Vernon's Basic Fantasy RPG campaign.

As this campaign is played in my home, space is limited.   Please, if you are not already a player in this campaign, do not sign up until you email Vernon to discuss the campaign's play style and available space.

Currently, we have three available spaces for anyone interested in an old-school style campaign.

A free .pdf of the Basic Fantasy rules can be downloaded at www.basicfantasy.org

Jason - Aren't you getting email updates when the group is posting comments?? If not, check your settings. I'm not always on Meetup, but I always get alerts when comments are posted.

Funny, I am getting some but not all.

Got an email from Jack Kuhn who enquired about our game a couple of weeks ago. Looks like he can join in starting with the session on the 24th.

I meant *stock* up on Coke Zero. I just had a picture of myself walking into a 7-11 with a gun, and walking out with a whole crate of Coke Zero.

Just had what for me is a slightly crazy thought, but I kinda like it. If you all are up to starting this game at 9 pm until after Easter, I can join in. I totally understand if that doesn't appeal, but let me know and I will stick up on Coke Zero.

While the spirit is willing, the body starts shutting down after 10 pm and the brain starts going to mush.

Game called for lack of players. :(

I suggest a new game called Shanghai' where players or the DM gathers new players by force. No prior experience needed to play. :-)

Tyrel, Nicole, and Andrew are out for the foreseeable future; Ross is out until the end of April; I'm unsure of Richard's status. While I'm happy to run a game for two players, it would be nice to have a couple more people for stability and to allow for greater challenges to the party. If you or Jason know of anyone looking for a game, let's bring them in.

Damn it!!! Should have checked earlier. I really really wanted to play. It has been forever since I RPGed and I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms. Hopefully next game will get a better response! I have been busy at work and have little time to check boards.

Yeah. Unless Richard and Jason sign up tomorrow, the game is called for this week. I'm going to modify the Meet-Up description this weekend to state we have three available slots for new players. We need a couple more people to keep the game going.

With Ross out, we're short on players. Richard and Jason, are you attending?

I'm sorry to cancel, but rehearsals have started up for our Easter Cantata, and I'm the pianist, so I can't miss a rehearsal. That means I'm out until after Easter. I know the holidays put a hole in things, and I have missed playing, but hopefully the game will pick up steam!

As I've always said, real life comes first. No problems, Ross.

Awesome, I'm glad you worked that out. I like using Meetup to keep the game alive. Thank you!

Regarding the New Year's notification from Meet-Up tightening the rules on home campaigns: I've been in touch with Joseph Bloch at Meet-Up regarding this. It all comes down to how the meet-up is worded. I've revised the BFRPG meet-up's text, and Joseph approved it. We are in compliance with Meet-Up policy.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
