Time travel back to the 90's with World of Darkness?

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • I found a bunch of the Werewolf the Apocalypse and Vampire the Masquerade books when I moved. Does anyone have any interest in playing these defunct WoD games? If so, maybe we can do a dry run and do some character building. I think I have a book that is a pre-scripted adventure for starting new werewolf or vampire characters.

My boyfriend and I might be interested in a VtM game. We created characters for another game that never really got off the ground, but it made me excited to try it out. We live in the Princeton area.

I live in Newton, NJ so if you could make the drive, there would be the potential for adding more players but it's an awfully long way to go. We currently play bi-weekly on Fridays at 7PM.

I'd love to play and have a friend who would join in. We've both played a ton of old-school VtM and a little Werewolf, too. I'd be willing to run a Vampire game set in the "Chicago by Night" source book or join as a player. We're located in Central Jersey. We won't be available until mid October but a near-Halloween-ish game of Vampire is always fun.

I'm currently running a Vampire Dark Ages game but it's very close to full. If someone else wants to run one, I would consider participating, depending on day and time. Also, this post is so old! I don't even remember making it!

Vampire & Hunter are my favorite WoD games. I don't really have a space for this - if I did I'd be offering it. But if you can get something in Passaic, Clifton, Rutherford, or Wallington, I'd definitely be into the idea.

    Another thought: Roll20.

I am interested in either VtM or Werewolf, either one.

Prefer to play a mage but would be happy to run a vampire.

I made a post about this in the message boards. Come weigh in on the topic!

I won't be in tonight - previous engagement.. but definitely want to pursue this. Probably keep this thread going and perhaps make a poll to see who else might be interested in playing and perhaps build a starter group..? I agree that this may not be a fully open/public game, but open discussion is good to get the ball rolling and hopefully get a few more people together to start a campaign.

Did you say that you have some published adventures? I'd be willing to switch off GMing responsibilities with you if the game catches on.

Thanks, Tyrel. I'm going to play it by ear for now. With limited interest and no real direction I may become defacto DM for this, and if that is the case I'll have to spend some time designing a campaign before we even get to play. I'll chat with Andy and Eric this evening after D&D and see what their expectation is.

If you guys ever want to do anything more formal, let me know and I'll setup a meetup. That way, you'll know who to expect and who to not expect. Also, if this turns into a home/non-public game, you should consider moving your organizing discussion to the GS2 Campaigns message board - it will certainly be more convenient than this.

Holy treasure trove Batman, it turns out I have Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage, along with some associated players guides. My friends tend to leave RPG books with me when they move, so there might be more too.

FYI - I have a copy of Mage the Ascention from WW as well - once upon a time I did a cross over session between Vamp, Wolf, and Mage... I doubt if I have my modules tho.

I think I have the Werewolf book somewhere, if I can find it and we have a gaming store to meet in I'll bring it this Friday. Tablejacking, here we come!

I'm up for it; would prefer Werewolf tho. So much of the Vamp stuff I had done before was like getting teeth pulled - all posturing and banter, no action.

Sounds fun. I would prefer just about anything to 4e, I really just play to hang out with people.
