Bravery? More like lake of brains & allot of luck on our part. We got lucky. very lucky. We would have been up the S _ _ _ creak without a paddle if the 2 lizardmen stayed to fight. Also taking out the MU early was our only saving grace . BUT

Guess I need to sit down and take the time to level up if we are actually meeting up. Are we going to try for the new location or ?

    Continued from the previous post...

The deck above the bilge is the "hold" deck. This is where the cargo is stored and the majority of the enlisted crew sleep. There might or might not be separate cabins or partitions also.

The configuration of the cabins of each ship are variable based on the whims of the captain and the needs of the crew.

Here is a typical example on this page:

Tom - your character finds that typically, a ship of this type would have 4 "levels", including the bilge. The top deck would be the forecastle and quarterdeck. The quarterdeck would be where the wheel or the rudder steering mechanism is. The forecastle has the windlass mechanism for raising and lowering the anchor(s), and also possible rigging for a third, smaller forward sail.

The next deck would be the main deck, with various officer's and passenger cabins under the forecastle and quarterdeck. In the open space in the middle would be where the masts are seated, and where the utility boats are stored and cargo hold openings would be. To be continued in next post...

Hey Tom - sorry for the delay. I was sick all week. I will try to send something over this weekend. If not, we will wing it on Wednesday.
