  • This location is shown only to members

Join us at a Garden Pool Meetup member's private family residence in Gilbert for our latest design and volunteer project, a Pond-based system build!

We are looking for volunteers to help a fellow Garden Pool Meetup member build their awesome backyard system so they can begin growing food the Garden Pool way.

This backyard GP System that is to be built will include many features:

  • Tilapia Garden Pond
  • Aquaponic Greenhouse
  • Seed Start Station
  • Fruit & Nut Tree Orchard
  • Aquaponic & Conventional Raised Garden Beds
  • Use 90% less water than conventional farming methods

Materials for the project will be provided.

We will be building this ambitious project and we could really use your help!

We could use volunteers to help build and tools for the volunteers.

Tools are needed for volunteers:

  • Cordless or Corded Drills
  • Driver Bits and Drill Bits.
  • Reciprocating Saws
  • Circular Saws or Power Miter Saws
  • Hand Saws
  • Sawhorses
  • Extension Cords & Power Strips
  • Tin Snips
  • PVC Cutters
  • Utility Knives
  • Tape Measures
  • Writing Utensils
  • Shovels
  • Wheel Barrels
  • Gloves (Leather Work & Latex/Nitryl)
  • Hammers
  • Squares & Levels

Restrooms & water will be provided for all volunteers.

Don't worry if you don't have tools, we can use plenty of hands. Please help us spread the word to help us get as many volunteers as possible. We greatly appreciate your time and we look forward to seeing the GP regulars and meeting new faces at our next exciting volunteer project! RSVP's are limited so please only RSVP if you are definitely going to attend.

Thanks,

-The Garden Pool Team

Thank you everyone for all your hard work! It's so nice to go out to the backyard and see such a wonderful natural setting. I feel so much closer to nature and I know I am going to learn so much. And it means more to me, because so much love was put into it. Thank you for helping me become more green. I couldn't have done it without you!

When and where will the photos go up please? Thanks for the opportunity. Contributing to "green" efforts and food sustainability while meeting people that inspire me AND getting productive "green" exercise is exactly what I like and needed.
