The "rule of thirds" is not the only way of organizing a photograph. Richard Harrington discusses another organizational method in this Photofocus article. Note that in both Photoshop and Lightroom there are guides for several types of organization. Link Here.

Thanks Dick, I have always been fascinated by the Fibonacci Golden Spiral. However I find it difficult to apply. If you search Google images for "golden spiral photography" you get lots of examples; some good others not so good. This would be a good topic of discussion for our group. Plus it would make for an interesting monthly challenge.
