  • This location is shown only to members

Our October 2nd meeting is all about Java Persistence API (JPA) v2. See for more details.

After the JUG meeting, we'll carry on with JPA in the Gateway Groovy Users Group when we discuss Using the Grails JPA Plugin, so plan to attend both!

Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

See you next week!

It was excellent, when treating a complex subject in a short time there is a tendency to use "sound bytes". Jack avoided this by giving a very structured presentation, undoubtedly the astute listener came away with a good idea of what JPA is all about. I particularly liked the inclusion of examples following a explanation of the theory. The pace was fast and being one of his slower proteges I undoubtedly did not get as much out of the presentation as many others did but ... Jack is going to post the slides ... so slow pokes like me will get another shot at it.
    Good job Obiwan!!!

Thanks Jack for the excellent overview of JPA 2.0.
The timing cannot be better. I happen to mention about using Intellij IDE to reverse engineer the tables into JPA annotated entity domain classes and today Intellij happen to release a video regarding the same. Here is the link.
    Please take a look.

I'm looking forward to tonight's JUG Meeting, also found what I think may be a good sight for learning Hibernate, ... guess the next step is to get a new desktop PC! In the mean time I am reviewing Java Tutorials (online) to get a lead on tonight's material ... see you at the JUG meeting
