Gay Geek Sci-Fi Fantasy Book Club

A few of us were interested in getting together for a informal book club at a local coffee shop. We voted on the Facebook gay geeks group and chose http://www.amazon.com/Left-Hand-Darkness-Ursula-Guin/dp/0441478123 for our first book. Open to everyone with a interest in SciFi or fantasy lit. This will be a low key event to get to know some new folks while geeking out over books. The only requirement is reading the book of the month. Sign up to our group if interested and we have a month to read our first novel. We will be choosing our next book through a poll after the first meeting. So bring some suggestions of a Fantasy book this next time that you have either been dying to read or have read and discuss with your fellow gay geeks. We will be alternating between SciFi and fantasy books. Cheers and hope to see some of you there. If time/dates are a problem they are open for discussion.

    Thanks for coming guys to our first meeting. I enjoying chatting with everyone. I posted a thread in our Facebook group to discuss a Fantasy book for May. We can alternate to sci-fi for the following book. So head over to FB and feel free to share suggestions of what you liked or didn't like as well as book, location and date suggestions.

    Well, I only just joined the group today and the flux capacitor on my time machine is on the fritz, so I can't go back in time to read the book, so I won't be coming to the coffee house.
