Back by popular demand! This was one of the most successful hikes last year!! Break Neck Ridge is part of the Hudson Highlands State Park, and the views of the Hudson River will be spectacular. The hike begins with a challenging climb up a steep ridge , then levels off to a series of trails. I will do some research on the different trails after and we hike the ridge and pick a route. It's a great way to clear your mind, socialize with a great group of guys, and challenge some of your outer limits. I will be blunt though, it's a pretty tough hike. The first half hour is straight up and involves some rock climbing. You don't need any special gear, just good shoes and sensible clothes. If you have a fear of heights or significant health issues this may not be for you. There is a MTA stop at the beginning of the hike, but we might get off a Cold Spring and hike to the trail head that way. The group will take a train from Grand Central that leaves at approximately 9 AM. Those driving can meet us at the trail head or train station. More details on this closer to the hike so mark your calendars. I also want to say thanks for everyone's support over the last year. Sam in particular. The group was created about a year ago and I have met so many great guys. It's an honor to hike with you all.
