As the first event of the renewed, rehabilitated and re-energized Gay Williamsburg group, I would like to invite everyone to Brooklyn Bowl on Tuesday, October 16th. If you have been there before, you know it’s a cool, fun, and lively place. If you haven’t, it really is a cool, fun, and lively place. One may argue it has a bit of an ego, but here is what their website says:
“Brooklyn Bowl has redefined the destination entertainment experience. 'One of the most incredible places on earth,' according to Rolling Stone, Brooklyn Bowl integrates a premier performance venue, food by Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 16 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch a performance. Brooklyn Bowl is located in the former Hecla Iron Works (built 1882) and was the first L.E.E.D. certified bowling alley in the world.”
Bowling gives everyone a chance to socialize in a friendly environment. While it may not be everyone’s forte, come anyway and meet some of your fellow members.
Since it is a performance space, there is a cover to get in, but at the same time you get to enjoy a great group. On Tuesday, The Infamous Stringdusters will be performing. Here is their link:
Wearing your own socks: Free
Forget socks: $4
Bowling: Charged per lane, per hour, so depending on how many people there are, the price goes down. You can get a better indication when the event gets a little closer. I would say, no less than $5/hr. No more than $10/hr.
They have excellent food and drink as well. You can check out the menu and more on the website at:
