Annual BARREL WINE TASTING at D'ARGENZIO WINERY Tasting Room BURBANK

Though the reputed D'Argenzio Winery is located up in Santa Rosa, California, they have a lesser known wine tasting room in Burbank west of the 5 Freeway off of Burbank Boulevard. We actually visited this winetasting room in our group's earliest days nearly 3 years ago, but are finally making our way back--better late than never!

The occasion will be for their once-a-year "Barrel Winetasting" weekend. For $20 (plus tax) you get to taste four wines straight from the barrel plus also get to enjoy 6 varietal wines from bottles.

Barrels of Wine
2012 Pinot Noir, Wohler Vineyard
2012 Barbera di Niccolo, Bedrock Vineyard
2012 Old Vine Zinfandel, Chalk Hill
2011 Petite Sirah, Russian River Valley

Post tasting dinner--immediately following the tasting we will caravan in our cars about 3 blocks west to have an very affordable dinner at the landmark Monte Carlo Italian Deli.

Very good. I think they could have used two people pouring. One in front with the walk ins and another handling the barrel tasting.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
