We officially have been to TINTO'S TAPAS for a Paella dinner only once, but unofficially we ended up unexpectedly going there at the end of an impromptu wine/bar crawl late last year on a rainy Saturday and had a spectacular time. They have $4 beers & homemade sangria, $5 appetizers which are tasty and wonderful for the price, $5 well drinks and a featured wine for only $6.
Aside from only their happy hour appetizers, you might also wish to sample a cup of their famous Andalusian Gazpacho for only $4 or other larger and more hearty, but very shareable appetizers that are in the $8-11 price range.
I had hoped we could celebrate PRIDE weekend at a bar that was perhaps more into the heart of Boy's Town, but the crowds and parking will likely be too overwhelming with visitors from all over the state and other parts of the country. However, technically Tinto's IS in Weho's city limits and they have their own small parking lot as well as street parking. They also will likely welcome our patronage since they're normally fairly quiet before dinner time on Saturdays.
[NOTE: Jono has an afternoon TCM group gathering beforehand so if you get there before he does please go ahead and if there is a small group please see if we can be seated in the patio and start ordering those delicious $4 sangrias and small, but cheap and delicious appetizers].
Parking: Tinto's has its own small private parking lot a couple of doors west from its entrance or there should be plenty of available metered street parking.
AFTER THIS HAPPY HOUR--you can proceed to the actual Gay Pride festival or do your own bar crawl into Boy's Town (by foot, bus or taxi).
