[Note: TICKETS TO THIS ALLIANCE FRANCAISE EVENT HAVE OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT SO YOU CANNOT PAY AT THE DOOR] Jono is celebrating his part Basque/French last name heritage with this one night, once a year special winetasting event that is being hosted by the Bordeaux Sister Cities Alliance Francaise in Los Angeles (located in L.A. on the border of Beverly Hills near Century City).
The Mayor of Bordeaux, Alain Juppé, invited the City of Los Angeles to be the guest of honor at Bordeaux’s Fête le Vin in June 2014, one of the major tent pole events for the planned celebration. Founded in 1998, Fête le Vin attracts more than 500,000 visitors to Bordeaux, as well as 275 French and foreign journalists. The goal of this initiative is to present the rich and diverse cultural histories and contemporary manifestations of art in both cities for residents and visitors. Bordeaux-LA 2014 is a celebration of the French-American friendship and an exceptional opportunity to shine a spotlight on Los Angeles as a center of arts and culture in the 21st Century. Hosting Bordeaux based artists and scholars in Los Angeles will cement and deepen our relationship for years to come.
On this special wine tasting evening, sommelier Laurent P. Michit will host samplings of several different Bordeaux wines.
