We have not been to City Sip in ages and it's time to go back. We are hosting a mini-happy hour that will end at 7pm--more than enough time to continue on with your date or other Saturday night plans OR for those without other plans, perhaps we can play things by ear and walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner?
City Sip just started it's SPIN THE WHEEL HAPPY HOUR, but it's only every hour on the hour--which is why I made our meeting time 5:30pm since I and many others in our group tend to always run 10 or more minutes late. However, if you arrive at 6:10pm don't blame us for not being able to get a "SPIN THE WHEEL" happy hour special which might include dollars off per wine glass, free appetizers and more.
The other reason we want to meet early is because this place is very small and if we went during prime time it would be challenging to get a table large enough for our group.
Even if you do not indulge in the "wheel" gimmick, City Sip's regular wine selections and appetizers are quite good--not cheap--but good (especially their caprese grilled cheese sandwich). Read more info on their Facebook page at:
Street parking in this neighborhood is scarce, so be prepared to hunt for 10-15 minutes for a spot and please carefully read the signs so you don't end up with an expensive ticket.
