Gay Men's Chorus of L.A. With Stephen Schwartz & Liz Callaway

Come to see the Gay Men's Chorus in their new show "Not Entirely Wicked - The Music of Stephen Schwartz" with special guest star Liz Calloway.

Broadway's brilliant Stephen Schwartz and extraordinary vocalist Liz Calloway are set to perform with the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles as they wrap up their 34th season with a special song-and-dance tribute to the legendary composer. Guest Conductor Dr. Timothy Seelig of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus will lead the 200-plus member L.A. chorus in memorable stage songs and medleys from Schwartz's many hits, including Wicked, The Baker's Wife, Children of Eden, Godspell, The Magic Show and Pippin, along with screen favorites like Enchanted, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt. Callaway provided the singing voices for many of those memorable animated characters, and she's also starred on Broadway in Cats, Miss Saigon, Merrily We Roll Along and more. Schwartz is scheduled to take a turn at the piano for the debut of his new choral work Testimony, about teens struggling to come to terms with their sexuality and thoughts of suicide. Inspired by the "It Gets Better" project, this is Schwartz's most revealing and emotional piece to date. He's also anticipating a 2013 Broadway opening for his new musical, Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
