Come to see the Outfest film "Last Summer" a debut feature that captures young love.
Last Summer, the movie that recently caused a sensation at the Little Rock Film Festival, arrives at Outfest, the LGBT Film Festival of Los Angeles. Writer-director Mark Thiedeman (who won the "Best Director" award in Little Rock) has crafted a lush and lyrical meditation on young love. It's the final summer before "adult life" begins for teenage couple Luke and Jonah. As divergent futures loom on the horizon they realize their time together is short and very precious. With gorgeous visuals that recall the work of Terrence Malick, this positive tale of gay romance in the American south is both moving and real. The film runs 1 hour and 15 minutes.
