Could you tell us a little about yourself, your interests and hobbies? (A face photo in your profile is required to be a member of this Meetup group.)

I'm in Duarte, so I tend to do things around the SGV, but if it's a worthwhile gathering, I'd travel to the -- GASP -- westside! I enjoy playing board games. Love to eat and am a carnivore (not a fan of preparing and cooking). Enjoy some live theater and comedy/improv shows as well as main stream movies. On going hobby is finding an excuse to ride the Metro rails for leisure rather than always driving, so I like to visit Universal Studios, Little Tokyo (karaoke and sushi), Hollywood (Pantages and El Capitan) among other stops. If some people have memberships to the botanical gardens like the LA Arboretum, Descanso Gardens, or The Hungtington Library we should discuss strolling together.

What activities would you like to participate in or host? (If you are a "no show" 3 times you will be removed from the group.)

With my job as a social worker, I can do extended weekends more readily with short notice than week long trips. Those require more advance planning.

Are you single? In a Relationship? Are you looking?

About to turn 41 and single

What do you do on your weekends?

My friends say I'm always doing something and they don't know where I get the energy for it. They're impressed how much I do by myself. That part is ironic because I'd gladly do them with people, but many of my friends are busy when I invite them, so I do things alone rather do nothing alone.

Would you "CHIP IN" $6/year at to help with the fees Meetup charges our group? It's optional. When you do you'll have "SUPPORTING MEMBER" under your name when you RSVP for events & in your profile.

Hoped to expand my friends base and meet people who have both the time and means to go out and do some of the things that I'd like to try or repeat. Many of my friends are coupled and with children, so I've been floundering as the single friend.
