Geek Girls Game Day - Fairfax

Ladies, let's get together for some games and snacks!  Going forward, Geek Girls Game Day/Night will be a reoccurring monthly event and held in a central location in Northern VA.

Also, as part of the "Geek Girls" series, we will be scheduling  some non-gaming events like movies at a theater, Happy Hour, dinner and drinks, local fairs and festivals, and anything fun we can think of.  Don't be shy about suggesting events!

For gaming events, please bring a food or snack item with you, to share with the group, or a couple of dollars to add to the meetup collection jar.  If you are going to bring food to share, please post the item in the comments section so we can avoid overlapping.

Shanin Cook has generously offered to host the first few at her spacious and gorgeous apartment, but if anyone would like to host please let me (Stacy) know and we'll find a date that works for you!  Future event dates are not set in stone.

PARKING: The parking situation is optimal.  You can park anywhere in the well-lit parking lot in front of the building.  No towing or assigned spaces to worry about.

ATTENDANCE:  Geek Club's attendance policy applies to this event and can be seen at

See you there!

Ugh! So sorry in going to miss. Have to learn how to drive a stick shift for work and my neighbor is teaching me tomorrow. If anyone wants to get tea sometime, hit me up! I'll try to make the next Thursday thriller.

Bummer! Currently we have the dates set so that they work in Shanin's schedule. If you would ever like to try hosting a geek girls event, we can pick a day that is convenient for you.

I can definitely host as well :-)

Can I bring my 'nerdy' teenage daughter to the games?

    March 14, 2014

    • Stacy

I'm very sorry, but no. This event is 18+ only. It's possible someone will bring a bottle of wine and we can't be responsible for ensuring youngsters don't drink any. Also, it's not uncommon for someone to start a game of "Cards Against Humanity" and that would not be appropriate for anyone under 18.

I wish this wasn't a month away! I'm excited to see we have some returning geek girls, and there will be some new faces here too!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
