Celebrate Fairfax!, Northern Virginia’s largest community-wide celebration, arrives June 6-8, 2014 to the Fairfax County Government Center. Presented by Celebrate Fairfax, Inc, the annual festival hosts tens of thousands of visitors during the three-day run.

The 25-acre site is magically filled with fascinating sights and sounds of more than 300 exhibitors, food vendors, crafters and interactive activities. Celebrate Fairfax! showcases live concerts on eight stages, ExxonMobil Children’s Avenue, a free petting zoo, the Fairfax County Karaoke Championship, carnival rides, and great festival foods. Another fun activity for kids is the Inova Train Ride.

Nightly fireworks, presented by Leidos, are a highlight of the festival, and one of many great family programs. This year’s Bud Light Main Stage features top national headline performers: The All American Rejects, Cheap Trick and The Hunts.

A recipient of one of the International Festivals and Events Association’s top honors, Celebrate Fairfax was named a Bronze Pinnacle Award winner in 2005 for its long-time quality and success. The festival was also a 2006 honoree as one of the Top 20 events in the Southeastern United States.

I can't make it at 1pm. How late will you all be staying? Is it possible to meet up later in the afternoon?

    June 7, 2014

    • Stacy

Hi Rohit. The fireworks start at 9:30 PM, so undoubtedly some people from the group will still be here later. You can try posting a comment here and see if anyone has room for you in their group. The fair is usually too crowded for 25 people to travel together, so people will likely split into groups of 5 to 7 people for the day.

Thanks for getting back to me, Stacy. I can't make it today, for reasons about which I'd prefer to send you and the organizers a pm. Will send that today.

Ok what part. Im going to be there 1:30/2:00 bc errands

Alisha, I'll be wandering around the fair with anyone I pick up. At 1:30 or 2 I suspect I'll be near the Great American Restaurants booth. They have an awesome spin wheel and it's rigged so most people win a $25 gift card. For me, that alone pays for admission to the fair. If you text me your number I can check in with you later.

A reminder to all that Geek Club attendance policy does apply to this event. If you are unable to come to the fair and meet with the group (at any point in the day) you must change your RSVP to "No" at least 1 hour before the event starts. Failure to do so will result in a no-show warning.
