Explicitly Adult Party Games (Christmas Themed!)

  • Dec 1, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is no longer available

This will be an adult-themed games event with a Christmas theme!

Popular opinion has led me to take the "adult" factor down a notch and make these games of a nature that everyone would be comfortable with.

Schedule & Events as follows. Event details are below the schedule.

7:00 - 7:30: meet and mingle with Belt Racing tournament!

7:30 - 8:30: Cards Telestrations Against Humanity OR Human Bingo & Christmas Movie Trivia (time permitting)

8:30 - 9:30: Christmas Costume Contest judging

9:30 - 10:30: Truth or Dare "Catchphrase" OR Telestrations Against Humanity

10:30 - 11:30: Reindeer Antlers Relay & Bobbing for Chocolates Relay

11:30 - 1:30: Late Night Christmas Movie: "Scrooged"

Belt Racing

Players pair up and stand back to back with a couple of belts looped together at their feet, and race to pull the belt up and over their heads. As our guests arrive for this event, people will be paired up & switched out with one another. Each participant may keep track of their score and the individual with the best overall win/loss percentage at the end wins the amazing, unbelievable grand prize!

Human Bingo

Great for a starting activity, instead of numbers you have people, and you need to guess what attributes & facts go with which person in order to get them on your "card"! Also, the factoids written on the cards will have either a Christmas theme, or an adult element (will be about 75% holiday themed, 25% adult). No info needs to be ventured except "yes or no". Examples:

- Returned a gift he/she received last Christmas

- Doesn't like eggnog

- Has slept on a beach overnight

- Has gone commando at least once

- Has seen an (actual) reindeer

- Has celebrated Christmas in another country

Cards Telestrations Against Humanity

If someone is able to bring a copy of Cards Against Humanity, this is a hilarious adult variant on Telestrations! Sheldon has offered to bring his expansions for this.

Christmas Costume Contest

Several awards will be given:

* most creative (must be home-made or at least composed of different costume elements)

* sexiest costume (may be a guy or a gal!)

* most geeky costume

Exact judging format to be determined...

"Catch Phrase" Truth or Dare

Catch Phrase is a hot-potato game. A randomly timed buzzer with a rotating set of phrases is passed around in a circle. Each player, as they receive the buzzer, has to describe the phrase without actually using any of those words. If it's guessed before the timer goes off, they pass it on to the next person.

We will combine this with Truth or Dare! This will be two teams, men vs. women. When one team gets stuck with the buzzer, the winning team for that round can put their heads together (they have two minutes) and think up 1 truth and 1 dare to request that person perform.

The most important change here versus the previous plan is that teams will be encouraged to come up with their own choices. Teams can also rate the truths & dares that they offer their opponents, using a point system of 1-5. In this way, you can give the person an incentive to do something/tell something difficult, or make it easy on them and give them less points!

A player can choose either the truth or dare, they can also choose to do neither by claiming it's "too difficult". However, that person's team can vote whether or not that's reasonable and if they vote that it's a reasonable request, that player must either do the requested thing or can opt to be on the "naughty list"! These are special dares that will be kept a mystery until the end of the game! There are no points for choosing the "naughty list" options.

There are LIMITS on what sort of truths & dares can be requested. Nothing involving:

1. No dares that require the removal of ANY clothing.

2. No dares that involve touching another person.

3. No dares that require someone to eat or drink anything.

4. For truths all sex, drug, or alcohol related questions are allowed but must be able to be answered with a "yes" or "no" answer. And the one answering must only answer "yes" or "no" (this is because it may involve another person at the party and somethings are meant to be private).

Confirmed RSVPS:

Gals: Kristi F, Naomi G, Nicole (tentative), Leah, Susan

Guys: (random selection during event - has to be equal to number of women's RSVPS)

If you don't think you have it in you to do these things, please opt out and enjoy the Telestrations Against Humanity game that will be going on simultaneously.

Bobbing For...Chocolates?!...Relay

No hands allowed! In leiu of the standard apple game, players will pick up small chocolate bites and have to relay those off to their teammates!

Reindeer Antlers:

Divide your group into teams of two to four people. Give each group a pair of pantyhose. Give each team eight balloons. Then, when "Go" is said, the race starts, and the teams start blowing up the balloons and stuffing them into the pantyhose. Once all the balloons are stuffed inside the pantyhose, a team member wears the "reindeer antlers" and the team yells "Rudolph" when finished. The first team to finish is the winning team.

Again, please comment or mention in your RSVP which events you expect to participate in for the "option" events. Otherwise, I'll have to email you and bug you for a response!

Hello! I would like to to Truth or Dare for sure! Poker is cool as well :)

  • Andrew

That's a good question, anyone care to comment? You already know what my costume will likely be and that I have toned it down somewhat.

Are any women going to be wearing rather racy costumes that you would not normally wear in public? Trying to decide how self conscious I would feel in something skimpy.

If I would get off the waiting list, would be interested in truth or dare. Even if there weren't limitations. Don't like poker in general and too self-conscious about weight for strip poker.

We will provide drinks and snacks if everyone can please remember to donate $1.

The organizer should request meetup to include a male and female limit option

Just to clarify, since everyone was saying *exactly* which games they want to do and not do, etc I am definitely up for the Truth or Dare, Telestrations, Twister, and Human Bingo... There's an outside possibility of poker, but would prefer all the others...

    November 10, 2012

  • Lance H.

I'd rather play truth or dare, then Christmas Tree Strip Poker.

    November 8, 2012

  • David

I'm flexible, and can be assigned to whatever is easiest on the organizers. I think the event is a great idea.

    November 8, 2012

  • Susan

I am in for Truth or Dare but not sure about Strip poker :)

    November 8, 2012

    • Andrew

Thanks for confirmation, Susan! At this point I'm only really concerned with knowing what guys want to be involved in the Strip poker, since equal numbers likely dictates that us guys will have to do a random draw to decide who gets in...as for the ladies wishes to attend, we can decide that at the event & let everyone determine their comfort level at that time.

I'll opt out of the poker since I stink at it, lol. The truth or dare sounds fun to me, but if there's people needed to opt out I'll do so. I'd rather someone that is really excited to play get that much better of a chance to participate.

    Lol

What is Telestrians(cards) against humanity. I have never played it. I might change my choice.

    November 4, 2012

    • Andrew

It is a combination of Cards Against Humanity and Telestrations. You will have cards with adult-themed items and will pass around a drawing book with that word written down, others have to alternate drawing/guessing/drawing again until the book comes back to you.

      November 4, 2012

  • Steven W.

I'll be up for whichever options seem the most entertaining at the time...

    November 4, 2012

  • Andrew

Will be choosing "Telestrations...", "Truth or Dare", "Christmas Tree Strip Poker" as my optional selections

    November 3, 2012

    • Andrew

Noted. Instead of T or D, do you want to help run the "Bobbing for Chocolates" altnerate activity?

      November 3, 2012

    • Leah

      what is that?

I would be up for spin the bottle. 7 minutes in heaven .

    November 3, 2012

  • Sheldon Z.

I will bring "Cards Against Humanity" plus both expansions :)

I've removed the "singles" label. I figure most people who'll show up for these activities are single anyhow, and removing the specific label allows us to accomodate those who are "single but not actually looking".
