Sometimes being a geek girl is a lonely experience. It's hard connect with other women when they're staring at you funny because you're trying to explain your theory that the nature of a child's mutation stems partially from genetics as seen in Polaris and Magneto, but mostly from some sort of trauma before puberty - the time in which most mutants first exhibit abilities. Ex: Nightcrawler wanted to disappear because of his demonic appearance, and he did. You flashed 'em a little bit of your geek, and people just sidle away cautiously.
Not at this meetup. We LOVE your inner geek. We want you to pull it out of it's hiding place, doll it up and make it sing for our amusement. This is a place where you can meet girls who share your interest/s, socialize, have fun and not feel ostracized.
Our main focus is to provide a safe social setting for geek girls of similar interests to meet and interact and hopefully create bonds of friendship that will last a long time. Our secondary focus is to have a blast!
Geek girls of all ages, shapes, ethnicity, interests are welcome!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
