Knit/Crochet/Needlework Meetup

I run a knit/crochet group that meets every other Thursday. It is a nice chance to meet like-minded people and bond over a shared hobby.

Just a warning, the LRC forgot to put out a sign on the table so we have a little baby one.

I hurt my back. Not gonna sit. Might knit at home, though.

Are children OK to come? I have a 7 year old and I bring plenty of things to keep him occupied.

He might be a little bored. It is a crowded place and not much room to play. This has never come up before, so I'm willing to give it a go, though. (Sorry for the late reply.)

I hope it's okay for me to come even though my crafting is hand-sewing small plushes as opposed to knit or crochet?

Totally ok! I've brought embroidery projects before.

Hey random question but does anyone have a roman solider helmet pattern with plume for crochet?

    October 2, 2013

    • denise

That is indeed a random question! BUT... I have seen the pattern you speak of on Ravelry, actually. It was available for download for like $3 or so. I remember, b/c I was wishing that it was available for knitting :)

What do I need to bring other than myself? :-P

    September 23, 2013

    • Heather

Well, just bring whatever project you are currently working on. If you are learning a craft, bring whatever the person who has volunteered to teach you has indicated. For example, if I were teaching you to crochet, I'd suggest that you bring a crochet hook (size I) and a skein of Caron's Simply Soft yarn.
