Our understanding of the Solar System has been redefined by the discovery of hundreds of planets orbiting stars other than our Sun, also known as exoplanets. This show explores how recent projects, like the Kepler Telescope, along with rapidly improving technology have led us to discover more exoplanets.
Please buy your own ticket for the 2.45pm showing on Sunday 19th (£6.50 or £5.50 concessions) in advance from here: http://www.rmg.co.uk/whats-on/events/undiscovered-worlds.
It's free seating so we can still all sit together.
2pm - We'll meet at the Planetarium cafe at 2pm, then go in the Planetarium together. It's a half hour show.
4pm - We'll go for a drink afterwards at The Gypsy Moth right by the Cutty Sark. In case you don't arrive early to look around the Planetarium exhibitions, we'll hang around for a bit so you can do so (especially the Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition is always awesome!), but we'll meet back in the cafe at 4pm - 4.15pm and head down to the pub together. If you miss us, meet us there:
The Gypsy Moth, 60 Greenwich Church Street, London SE10 9BL
IMPORTANT NOTE about finding the place: The Planetarium is part of the Royal Observatory complex in Greenwich Park and is at the top of a steep hill. Walking time from Cutty Sark or Greenwich Station is 25 mins, or 20 mins from the National Maritime Museum at the bottom of the hill. So to meet at 2pm, please arrive at the station at 1.30pm. Pay & display parking is available on Blackheath Avenue.
Geek Chic costs: Full Membership of this group is £15 a year. You can attend two events for free. You can pay any time by Paypal using the link on the left navigation pane, or
