Geekeasy Derby: December

Geekeasy is a relaxed gathering of geeky/techy/creative types in Derby, who have an interest in learning and perhaps working together. It's very friendly, and you'll find an interesting mix of people to talk to.

Geek Speak (around 6.30pm): We'll hear from Samuel Jones, sysadmin and Buddhist, about Everyday Carry (EDC). Not sure what that is? Here's a definition: EDC, generally refers to small items or gadgets worn, carried, or made available in pockets, holsters, or bags on a daily basis to manage common tasks or for use in unexpected situations or emergencies. In a broader sense, it is a lifestyle, discipline, or philosophy of preparedness.

After the talk we'll carry on chatting, drinking and chowing down on samosas. Invite a friend, and help spread the geeky word!

All types of geek are welcome: creative, technical, digital, engineering, science, space, web, design, chic geeks and even non-geeks.

Thought I'd better go and click that I'm attending ;-)

Gathering my notes while in a hospital bed intriguingly enough!

This topic is intriguing. Looking forward to it! (I used to know a guy who always carried a spoon with him, just in case)

I am so sorry, booked tickets in May for something, really sad I can't come. I will read the review and want to hear all about it!
