Replacing the Rails Asset Pipeline with Grunt.js by Joe Florini

This talk explains why we moved away from the Rails asset pipeline and whether or not it's the right move for you. We'll go into how we've replaced all the features of Sprockets with Grunt & Bower, and a brief introduction to both. Then I'll show how you can have a similar setup by using Half Pipe, the asset pipeline replacement for picky front-end developers. After this talk, you will be ready to enjoy a much happier experience working on client-side code.

This was not recorded. I checked Joe's blog, but didn't see a post about it. You can poke him on Twitter and ask him to share his notes in another form. @joefiorini
