Monthly Large Group Magic The Gathering Game for Adults

Do you remember Magic The Gathering?
Remember when it was fun?
Have you shown up for one of those events filled with snotty kids that are annoying and rude and really take the fun out of the game?
Come hang out with us once a month to play a nice relaxed game of murdering each other with supernatural creatures in a civilized fashion.
We all sit around a large table.
Your creatures can attack people who are directly on either side of you.
Spells and enchantments can reach people 2 away from you.
The phrase "opponents" depends on the type of card ie a creature who's power is based on opponent's grave yard only deals with the people on either side of you, but an enchantment that deals with opponent's creatures gets people up to two seats away.
Bring a deck you've built or buy an intro Deck from Gypsy who will have a couple pre-built intro decks on hand (these cost $15).
Bring snacks to share and a good attitude.

Oh, one more question! For the starter deck, is it based around what's probably 17th edition of the main set (the one with Scryb Sprites and Vesuvian Doppleganger and all that) or an expansion? Just curious :)

it's a prebuilt deck from an expansion (I bought from two different expansions) .... the decks are built and ready to play but come with two booster packs that you could use to augment the decks if you see fit.

I remember the gist of it as well, but not much beyond that. Like, probably 4-5 years ago, out of curiosity I went into my local card/comic shop and saw some people playing, but it was way over my head. The game went at lightning speed, and when I could see what was being played, there were all kinds of abilities I knew nothing about.

The two biggest changes are that Interrupts are gone, they now resolve same as instants, and there is a new card type called a planes walker but I haven't seen one yet.
