Veritable Rainbow of Many Varieties of Oddball

What flavor of Geek/Nerd variant do you consider yourself to be? What kind of social happenings best fit into your particular theme of un-conforming?

I am a veritable rainbow of Geek/Nerd interests and behaviors... I have a lot of "classic geek" interests, like D&D, Monty Python, and Doctor Who. I also have a lot of "classical nerd" interests, like Shakespeare, Chaucer, literature, and history.

Are you a Social Butterfly? Do you play well with others? Do you enjoy meeting new people? If so, would you be willing to help out our Nerd Posse leadership team with regularly recurring activities by occasionally hosting events at public locations?

Yes, although I have some hermitly tendencies sometimes, I really enjoy social gatherings. I get a kick out of hanging out with weirdos, and have a genuine appreciation for the many varieties of oddball I've encountered over the years. Sure.

When you finally discovered this group after an arduous quest thru Meetup for a flock of odd ducks who naturally “get” your unique brand of slightly off, did you squeal like a piglet, do a happy dance, then have to adjust your glasses? (BE HONEST!)

I squeal like a piglet whenever the mood hits me, and have been known to get up from my desk at work to do a happy dance, and I adjust my glasses all the time. But yes, I did all of the above.

I am a first edition Dungeons and Dragons player, who can spend hours analyzing the characters in my party, and appreciating the quirks of my fellow players. I'm interested in finding new and exciting ways to geek out.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun on Sunday at CONsole Room. That script was really fun (Terror of the Zygons is one of my favorite Classic stories)! Looking forward to experiencing more yoga goodness!

Hi Jenny, thanks for the greeting! I may talk myself into the belly dancing this Thursday . . . need to fight the seasonal urge to hibernate.

Thanks for being my teammate against the hordes of scary children with foam dart guns. We died, but we died well and nobly!

Jenny, it was great meeting you, too. It was a blast at Yoga Quest last night, and a lot fun to hang and chat afterwards. I look forward to seeing you soon!
