Introduction

I'm a science-fiction loving massage therapist with an MA in Psychology. Although I have tried other meet-ups, I have found I'm a little off center for most of them...although I think not in a bad way.

What flavor of Geek/Nerd variant do you consider yourself to be? What kind of social happenings best fit into your particular theme of un-conforming?

My favorite social happenings would be hiking, discussing physics (where is that darn Higgs boson anyway?), watching sci-fi/fantasy movies, bar trivia, knitting, discussing a quirky sort of book, and listening to jazz.

Are you a Social Butterfly? Do you play well with others? Do you enjoy meeting new people? If so, would you be willing to help out our Nerd Posse leadership team with regularly recurring activities by occasionally hosting events at public locations?

I don't really fall into the social butterfly category. Although, I do play well with others. When I was little, my girlfriend and I would hang out and read books together. Thrilling...I know.

When you finally discovered this group after an arduous quest thru Meetup for a flock of odd ducks who naturally “get” your unique brand of slightly off, did you squeal like a piglet, do a happy dance, then have to adjust your glasses? (BE HONEST!)

My heart leapt with joy, and then I did have to adjust my glasses..honestly.

  • Hello, I'm sending this greeting to everyone of the 42 people on the Ken Wilber / Integral Meetup wait list. With 42 people perhaps we are ready to talk about starting an active Meetup group. I am proposing a "Wilber Mixer" at my studio in Loring Park, Downtown Minneapolis, to bounce around ideas for the group. I would like to use some of the DVD"s and web based lectures available thru Wilbers Integral Institute. Let me know if you would be interested. Peter: [masked].
