Introduction
I'm principally into video game culture, but I'm a fairly well-rounded individual when it comes to Nerdom. I like game mechanics of all kinds, so whether we're playing with pixels or cardboard, you can count me in!
What flavor of Geek/Nerd variant do you consider yourself to be? What kind of social happenings best fit into your particular theme of un-conforming?
According to that Venn diagram, I'm a pretty solid nerd, though my social ineptitude tends to be more of a reserved shyness. Once I get to feel comfortable with people, I open up and love to share ideas. I love puns and wordplay in conversation.
Are you a Social Butterfly? Do you play well with others? Do you enjoy meeting new people? If so, would you be willing to help out our Nerd Posse leadership team with regularly recurring activities by occasionally hosting events at public locations?
Oh, I don't know. I'd be willing to host some things as a backup, but I don't really want to be part of a leadership team.
When you finally discovered this group after an arduous quest thru Meetup for a flock of odd ducks who naturally “get” your unique brand of slightly off, did you squeal like a piglet, do a happy dance, then have to adjust your glasses? (BE HONEST!)
