Hometown: Brooklyn Park
October 8, 2012
My daughter (born an adult) is a high school freshman. Miles away from "mainstream." It would comfort me to see her make friends ! Very kind and encouraging ones- before the attack by the opposites thereof. Can we join ?
Nature lover ! "It's a bird. Big deal." Me: "NO! It's a nuthatch! The only bird that can hop down tree bark head-first." "Looks like a chickadee." "Very good ! It closely resembles a chickadee. Same colors, but a slightly longer beak and a couple more ounces of body weight." "Can we go now ?" My kids speak many foreign languages to which I am clueless. Pokemon, Bakugan, Zelda, Harry Potter, Sky Rim, Mario, anime, etc. This is their geek genius. My son is only 8 so we won't let him join. Amy has more. She's an absolute purist on some subjects. She hates Twilight, for example, because of the co-mingling of faeries and vampires.
Sure, I could probably manage that.
WOW ! How did you know ? Are you watching me ? Sneaky ! I don't even have a camera. But seriously, the few member profiles I looked at had some other meet-ups in common with me.
Thanks for the greeting. I haven't been too involved in dance lately. I won't make it the Blaine hangar dance. I'll be out of town that weekend. Hope you have fun.
Welcome to our Creative Process Meetup! This group is a place where we can support each other's "can do" spirit, and I think that's exactly what most of us want to do. I hope you can join us at our first Meetup on Sept 30. I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your interest in textiles and kinetic sculpture.

Jenny, the information about our Channeling Group is on our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/TheSistrum The name has a good deal of history and energy behind it. In Egyptian times, the sistrum was an instrument used in the Temple of Isis to disspell chaos before the priestesses began their rituals and ceremonies. As a group of channelers, our intention is to disspell confusion and to promote understanding for the people who come to us with questions. Hope that answers your question.
Welcome to Scrabble, Jenny. Come to a meet up soon!!
Jenny - Welcome to the Dead Feminists Society of Minnesota! I know you will enjoy this great group! I look forward to meeting you soon - Kristine
