Cookery geeks, you may rejoice. This shocked my otherwise manly poker-face into a fit of girlish glee:
Sure, he's no Lindsey Stirling, but
What: Alton Brown is going to be doin' whatever he does at a live show.
When: Saturday, November 9th at 8:00 PM
Ticket holders blessed with VIP Aura can attend a pre-show meet and greet. Bring a camera.
Tickets are kind of expensive.
So as to not have a repeat of the Great Lindsey Stirling Ticket Debacle of 2013 (my bad...), if anybody wants to go we should probably buy tickets shortly. Like..now. The best seats are already sold out, it seems. ("Pit" tickets, $77). Since I can't get VIP, I'm not sure I care *too* much about the placement, but the rest are $57 or $37 (Orchestra and Nose Bleed, respectively).
I've set the time for 4:30 to get there on time. We could, optionally, avail ourselves of the finer eateries in Roanoke, such as the Popeyes. Or, you know.. something nice. Whatever.
I'm willing to coordinate ticket purchases and cover until the day of, but lets make sure everything is purchased by August 20th. IF you have interest in going but are less than 75% sure, but more than 51% sure, that you can make it due to work schedules or whatever...talk to me off list.
I have no idea what time we'll be back, though I'd be surprised if he talks for over 90 minutes.
