We will be moving stuff around, building some tables and starting to get stuff organized. Stop in and help or just come by to see how things are progressing. We will tentatively be doing this every Thursday for the next few weeks to get things organized. Keep watching this site because we could post some last minute work parties.

Thanks to everyone who showed up!!! We make progress every day we have people up there working!!! The last big table in the workshop was broken down and 1 folding table was made with the top so far, we need a couple parts for the second table (hopefully next time). We did a little cleanup and went through a bunch of the stuff donated so far. The space is starting to look lived in and our sign is up front in the lobby so you can see it at night with the lights on!!!

    Y'all want this?
I have a HP Color LaserJet5 (last drivers were for WinXP), but with the supplies for a lifetime (toners, fusers, belts, etc. Works fine in WinXP (I meant to make a Linux printserver for it but never got around to it)... not photo-color, but powerpoint color.

Willing to donate but want to know for sure before I move the 80 lb behemoth...

I think I found where others can get that projector - DX for $69:

I love how it "accepts 1080p", but it's really a 320x240 native chip... gotta love specmanship.
    Still cool.

To be totally honest, that's probably not even entirely their fault. Sourcing small LCD displays above 320x240 is a pain in the ass. If you're LUCKY, you might find some VGA resolution ones. Otherwise it seems you have to be a cellphone manufacturer.

I'm planning on getting there by around 7pm and I'll stay until around 9pm, come on by if you can but be safe...

I think initially we just want tools or things the space needs to get setup. The printer might be a good asset but I'll let Joe chime in on whether we want it now. How much work would it take to be able to get it useable by anyone printing in the space?

It works now for XP and below. WIn7 just doesn't have workable drivers for it. Connected by Cat5 JetDirect card

I also have a number of old pcs (IDE interfaces) and drives, but I figure I'll hold off on them till we have a scrap bin area. Jus' don't go buying anything for video cameras/security/whatever (P3 / P4 / AMD ATX IDE -- They all power on, but all need new OS because if there is one, it's been forever -- one is Windows 95...)

Luke - let's save the breakables until we have a place setup to store them...
