Open House

MAKER FAIRE ATLANTA Planning is starting!!!  Please come by and help us work on Maker Faire projects, you do not need to be a member to come by and help out on Tuesdays or Feel free to just come by and say hi.

Current agenda:

We have the space, now help us to make it a success. Currently we are in the build out phase.

What we need most right now is folks that can help with build out.

Things you can do to help in this phase:

Member dues will be the major part of the group income. We currently have 2 options, monthly, and annual. Monthly dues are $50. Annual is $500 (saving you $100).

We currently need the following types of donations:

Cash Donations (Always needed!)

Tools (hand tools, etc.)

Equipment (mills, 3d printers, etc)

Building Materials (MDF, lumber, screws, doorknobs, brackets, etc)

Tables and Chairs

Computer Parts (please no crt monitors)

Anything else you think we need!

Equipment Loaning:

Some folks may have an expensive tool they wouldn't mind sharing with the group, but wish to retain ownership of (ie: 3d printer, cnc, etc.). This is great as well. The group will maintain a written agreement in this case so that ownership is retained.

In the build out phase, we will have plenty of projects to keep us busy. These will focus on things for the space. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated here. We will need to accept and inventory donated and loaned  equipment/tools/etc. Storage areas need to be built. Tables modified/built. Stools built. Possible interior finishing is needed as well. Lots more depending on what we have available to us at the time. Oh and bring whatever tools you have (hammer, screwdriver, drill etc.)

Hope to see you there,

    Hi Ben,
I have a drawer at Rackspace office. Its in very good shape. If you guys want it, can someone help me move it from my office (3080 Premiere Pkwy #115, Duluth, GA) to Hackerspace? My office is about 15 minutes from Hackerspace. But it needs to be taken either today or tomorrow. It does not fit in my car, so if some has a truck or a bigger car and willing to take it to the Hackerspace, please let me know.
