Introduction

The pond in our garden was badly designed, and is overgrown with water weeds. We seriously need advice on how to make it a beautiful feature of our garden, not an eyesore. This could be a challenge, even for Peter, but we're still optimistic.

How did you learn about our Geneva Area Pond Club? Please specify the web site or bulletin board location or person from whom you learned about us.

Three different neighbors and one associate at work told us about the club.

Which topics would you like to hear discussed at our next meeting? Have you submitted your RSVP yet to let us know whether or not you can attend the upcoming meeting? Click to get full details on our 'Home' page.

Redesigning badly installed ponds would be the most informative topic for us. Even if we have to rip everything out and start anew, we're determined to change an ugly pond to one that enhances our garden.

If you already have a pond, how would you describe its size and appearance? What kind of plants and fish inhabit the pond? If you don't yet have a pond, would you like to learn how to create one? Can you offer (or do you need) any pond equipment?

Our pond could only be described as ugly. It's about 3x4 meters, and less deep than it should be because of all the plants choking the bottom. It's not a pretty sight.

Would you like to get some goldfish or aquatic plants for your own pond from club leders Suzanne and Peter? Do you have any fish or plants you'd like to offer to other members?

We already have enough fish and far more than enough plants. Club members are welcome to dig out all the plants they want before we remove them ourselves, although most of them are ugly water weeds.

In what town near Geneva do you live? Can you host one of our informal get-togethers there? Simple snacks and beverages are all we expect, but if you want to make our get-together a bigger party, should we all bring a dish to share?

Thonex. We certainly won't invite anyone here until our pond gets a complete makeover. We'll attend many meetings in other club members' homes to be inspired by their beautiful ponds.

What Tammy and Timmy Benton is saying about this Meetup Group

We love the social aspects of the pond club as much as we appreciate the knowledge we're getting about how to care for garden ponds. We're making new friends who share our interest in beautifying our gardens with water features.
