Introduction

Recently moved from Rome to the Grand-Lancy area of Geneva. Would like to meet others who share our many interests, including building a garden pond. This seems like an ideal club for us.

How did you learn about our Geneva Area Pond Club? Please specify the web site or bulletin board location or person from whom you learned about us.

How could anyone NOT learn about this club? It's listed all over the Net. All its members must be telling everyone they ever met about it. We're just as guilty, because we've told most of our friends already.

Which topics would you like to hear discussed at our next meeting? Have you submitted your RSVP yet to let us know whether or not you can attend the upcoming meeting? Click to get full details on our 'Home' page.

We're new at this, so meetings about building a new pond would be the most useful for us.

If you already have a pond, how would you describe its size and appearance? What kind of plants and fish inhabit the pond? If you don't yet have a pond, would you like to learn how to create one? Can you offer (or do you need) any pond equipment?

Yes, we'd like to learn how to create a pond, because we intend to do all the work ourselves. We've already inquired about the cost commercial pond builders would charge, and that just isn't an option for us.

Would you like to get some goldfish or aquatic plants for your own pond from club leders Suzanne and Peter? Do you have any fish or plants you'd like to offer to other members?

Getting fish or plants before our pond is built may be a bit premature. We'll let Suzanne and Peter know when we're able to accept their generous offer.

In what town near Geneva do you live? Can you host one of our informal get-togethers there? Simple snacks and beverages are all we expect, but if you want to make our get-together a bigger party, should we all bring a dish to share?

We live in Geneva, where many of the club's members live, so our home would be a good central meeting place. We could host a meeting with up to about 15 members attending. We'll supply the snacks and beverages.

What Gian & Arlene Valenti is saying about this Meetup Group

The meetings this club has are a hoot! Gian and I were laughing so hard when members were telling jokes that I almost wet myself. We also learned a lot about how to protect our fish from herons, and how to get rid of algae. We're coming back for more.
