Yellowcraigs Beach to North Berwick (circular)

Come & join me for a relaxing circular stroll along our favourite beach.

We'll saunter along the sand for 3 miles, enjoying the stunning views.

Bring a snack / drink, cos we'll stop for a munch along the way! Sturdy boots / shoes for walking on the sand will be required - or wellies if you prefer. And bring waterproofs, just in case!! We'll walk along the sand, from Yellowcraigs Beach to North Berwick & back again. We usually spend approx. 1 hour in North Berwick before returning to Yellowcraigs.

We'll meet in Yellowcraigs car park; beside the public toilets.

DISTANCE - 6 miles

LENGTH - approx. 4 hours; as we spend 1 hour in North Berwick

TRANSPORT Yellowcraig is situated 3km west of North Berwick near the village of Dirleton.

By car From Edinburgh, leave the A198 at the first turning signposted to Dirleton. Follow the road through the village, and take the left turn as you leave the village, which is signposted to Yellowcraig. The car park is at the end of this road. From North Berwick, take the first right turning signposted to Dirleton. Take the next right after 200m, which is signposted to Yellowcraig and continue on this road to the car park.

By train The nearest train station is at North Berwick, from which buses can be taken to Dirleton, as above.

Lovely day out, great company - the paddle in North Berwick helped combat the heat - as did Carol's wipes! Thanks to all :)

Another great walk along the beach to a buzzing North Berwick. Really enjoyed the warm sunshine, all the chats, and a Luca's ice cream before heading back to Yellowcraigs. BIG thanks to Brian for hosting and hope to see you all again very soon :-)

I live in the Dalkeith area. If anyone around there needs a lift, or lives elsewhere, and wants to meet me at the Sheriffhall Park and ride, I can give them a lift.
