These are just some of the benefits of a regular yoga and meditation practice. Join us for Gentle Kundalini Yoga and Meditation taught by KRI-certified Kundalini yoga instructors. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:15pm and Sunday mornings, 11:00am-12:15pm. Classes are $10 and payable when you come to class. All are welcome to join the group. There is limited space in the studio (8 students comfortably) and availability is on a first come basis. Please do your best to sign up as priority is given to those who have reserved a spot.
Yoga in its most basic understanding is a set of disciplines designed to optimize all aspects of our human experience. There are dozens if not hundreds of types of yoga that may emphasize developing the body, the mind or even service to others. Kundalini yoga is a comprehensive form of yoga. It is a technology of sorts and employs a number of modalities - physical postures, breath work, vocal expression, mental focus, meditation - to accomplish the goal of optimizing our human experience. By employing a combination of some or all of all these things throughout our yoga practice we are working on just about every aspect of our body: nerves, hormones, circulatory system, etc. and this brings strength, balance and vitality to our bodies and calmness and awareness to our minds.
