Hike Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve

Whittemore Gulch Trail is an amazing hike that will take us through beautiful coastal redwood trees and some great views of Half Moon Bay. It's a moderate hike of about 7.6 miles and about 1500 foot difference from the upper parking lot to the lower lot, so bring a snack and plenty of water. The sheer beauty of this hike is second to none for the area, and i'm happy to share in the experience with you Genuine & Kind People. We can meet at the main parking lot which is on the west side of Skyline Boulevard/Highway 35 and is 4.5 miles south of highway 92 (Not to be confused with the other parking lot that is 6.5 miles south of highway 92). Parking and entrance are FREE.

Steven, I think a carpool would be fun. Can you send me your address and what time we'd be meeting at your place? I'll be coming from San Jose. Thanks!

Hi, I'd love to go! Is anybody able to swing by San Mateo? I'm near downtown.

Yes, Kristine and I can swing by on our way.

Interested, but would probably need a carpool. I'm pretty close already, just in the heart of redwood city. (Minor detour if you're already at the 280.)

Wouldn't have been a problem, but a change in my evening plans makes scheduling tight. I'm going to have to pass.

Sorry to hear , maybe we'll see you next time.

How about meeting at my house in Redwood City? Then we can decide who's vehicle(s) to take. I can make Peet's coffee for us.
