Just like everybody else here- i like maps- always have, probably always will. I've done some domestic emergency response, GIS for domestic emergency management, and am growing interested in the application of geospatial tools and information for international disaster risk reduction and response. I currently work for ICF International.
I came to DC in 2007 after working as a wildland firefighter with the US Forest Service to pursue a career in emergency management, and after realizing the potential of GIS in that field, started the GIS Master's program at Maryland in 2011.
