What I tried to accomplish through my studies as also through my practical experience is to continuously get more skills and learn new things in the vast field of geospatial sciences. The journey began with my introduction to the geospatial sciences and specially remote sensing and GIS since my first degree. During my MSc Degree in Remote Sensing at I had the opportunity to get in depth into that field by taking a wide spectrum of specialized courses. I have gained a strong insight into image processing and image analysis of various types of satellite data. To continue with my ongoing studies at GMU, I have formulated so far a very concrete and complete image about the vast range of applications of Geoinformatics. Lately I am researching the world of VGI. I found that topic extremely crucial and critical according to the current trends and needs. After all this experience so far I can realize the importance of multi-source geospatial information and the need for integration.
I am currently a PhD student in Geoiformation Science at GMU, working also as a GRA. Concerning my education I posses a MS in Remote Sensing and a BSc in Geography. I have more than 4 years of professional experience in the field.
