Geo NoVA Message Board › Schedule out for FedGeo Day on Feb. 28
Posted on behalf of our friends working to put together FedGeo Day:
The schedule for the FedGeoDay is out: http://fedgeoday.com/... This one day conference on modern, open geospatial tools is happening here in town on February 28 at the Wooly Mammoth Theater.
There's a lot of great stuff on the schedule including:
- Rapid demos of web maps that work
- Conversation on improving federal geodata featuring end users and the government distributors
- Case studies on open geo implementations that work
- Presentations on how people got open and new geo tools into government and through procurement
Alongside of the main conference will be 15 minute deeper dives around specific technologies like TileMill for cartography, OpenStreetMap, bridging Esri tools with newer options with Arc2Earth, and many more.
If you work in the geo space both in and outside of the government, this conference will be a great way to learn about what works, what policies and data are coming out of the government, and how to get started using the latest and most powerful geo technology out there.
More details on the conference are at http://fedgeoday.com/..., and registration is open. If you have any questions and are coming to tonight's meetup, just find me to talk more.
