Georgia 6th (& 11th) District Fair Tax Support

Georgia 6th District Fair Tax Support is a non-partisan group whose purpose is coordination of and involvement in activities in Georgia's 6th U.S. congressional district for support of House Resolution 25 - The Fair Tax.

The Fair Tax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including:

* A progressive national retail sales tax.
* A "prebate" to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level.
* Dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality.
* Repeal of the 16th Amendment through companion legislation.

Members of this group are interested in the support of the Fair Tax plan through the following activities:

* Attending regular meetings to discuss current national and state-level activity and to coordinate community-level activity
* Promoting of the Fair Tax in a non-partisan manner at community events
* Developing awareness, recruiting friends and colleagues for expanded Fair Tax understanding and representation
