We are fast approaching the March event. If you have not sent your RSVP, please do so. We need to get an idea of the number of participants. Also, encourage your friends and others to join this group and get involved. We really want 2010 to be a great year!
Sponsored by the Georgia Sports Car Club, we are primarily a group who enjoys competing by driving our cars on road rallies. We are looking for members who like to drive and navigate for a day of family fun. We have a variety of different types of road rallies events almost every month. You don't need an actual sports car to participate just a car, a willingness to have fun and a sense of direction helps, but is not required. Meet other people who enjoy driving and getting together to compete. We meet after the rally to have lunch, compare notes, & congratulate the winners. So bring your crew and join us for a lot of fun! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
A rally is a timing and logic contest driven on public roads at legal speeds. The object of this rally is to reach various checkpoint locations along a pre-determined route at the correct time. The correct time is calculated from assigned legal speeds over the distance traveled. This is NOT a race. The penalties for early arrival at a checkpoint are the same as for late arrival. Contestants are reminded that they must share the road with non-rally traffic, and therefore MUST obey all traffic laws at all times.
