Project " WILD "
Join nationally recognized naturalist and environmental educator, Jerry Hightower, for eight exciting hours of instruction in this fun and informative dual certification workshop featuring national, award winning programs. This workshop will include techniques and teaching strategies for interdisciplinary learning utilizing the forest, meadows, and pond. Our precious resources; our water and our native wildlife provide the exciting vehicle for our interdisciplinary professional development and enrichment activities.
Educators completing this certification workshop will receive the 530+ page " Project WILD Curriculum Activity Guide " ( correlated to Georgia Performance Standards), great posters, resource materials, and other classroom teaching aids.

Environmental Education Techniques and Strategies
Registration is open to private and public school teachers, nature center instructors, resources agency educators, youth organization leaders, and all interested volunteers.
Dress for outdoor activity and wear comfortable shoes. Some activities require some physical exertion. The afternoon meal breaks will be lunch and learn sessions and will be times to share ideas, feelings, and observations. Therefore, please bring your lunch each day. Morning and afternoon snacks are included. Door prizes are offered. Registrants may camp out or “ camp in “ at the Environmental Educational Center at no charge.
Space is limited to insure a quality experience. Complete the registration form and mail today. Teachers may receive PLU Staff Development Credit. You must have your Out of System PLU Form signed before beginning the workshops. Upon receipt of your registration and check, we will mail you a confirmation letter and additional detailed information. You will receive PLU forms if requested.
