CANCELED: Let's Watch a Polo Match! (ALPHARETTA)

  • May 18, 2014 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

I am so excited about this event...for many of us, watching a Polo game is a once in a lifetime event.  You won't want to miss this one!

Join us to watch a Polo Match as an announcer gives us the background and rules of the game.

• The game starts at 2pm but come early to watch players tack up and to visit the horses.

• The cost is $20 per vehicle.  (Pay at the event.)

• Pack a lunch or picnic and bring your friends and family (there is also a playground for children.)

• We will be sitting under a 2400 square foot pavilion with perfect view of the polo field and the surrounding countryside.

“Polo is Hockey, Soccer and Basketball on a horse traveling at 35 miles an hour trying to hit a baseball with a stretched out croquet mallet!” - Jack Cashin

They also provide Polo lessons and they host Weddings and Charity events.  To learn more, please call:

About Chukkar Farm

Chukkar Farm Polo Club & Event Facility was founded in 1980 by owners Jack Cashin and his wife, Helen. The Farm has 173 acres of pastures, woods, river crossing and a 26 acre lake. They started teaching polo in 1985 and Jack is still an active polo player at the age of 88!  The Cashin’s wanted to bring Polo to the People and make it a less elitist activity where anyone wanting to learn could get involved. They wanted visitors to discover the joy and fun of the fast paced, competitive sport of Polo.

Originally begun as a teaching facility, Chukkar Farm has evolved into a First Class Event Facility offering a spectacular outdoor venue for Polo matches, Weddings, Live Concerts, Corporate Outings, Corporate team building, Charity Fundraisers, Private Parties, Summer Camp, and riding lessons. Chukkar Farm provides the event venue and you can control and provide the rest of the activity or they offer additional services to help make your event the most memorable possible.

Less than an hour north of Atlanta, Georgia, Chukkar Farm is a family run business with many family members involved in the management of the Farm. They are all passionate about offering a unique and truly beautiful venue for the world to experience. The team is very flexible and will try to accommodate your needs as you plan your event.

Please check this space for an update on the Polo game in the morning. I am waiting to hear back from the venue on the status. Hope tomorrow turns out like today where the weather changed for the better.

Hi everyone. Stay close for updates. They will not be playing polo if it is raining as it makes it dangerous for the horse and rider. But lets watch the weather and I will update everyone asap. But as of right now we are still on! It will be an unforgettable day!!!

Hey Everyone I just wanted to let you know just in case we bump in to any of the family that Helen Cashin the wife of the owner Jack Cashin of Chukkar Farms passed away on April 21st of this year from advanced Alxheimer's. I just read it in the paper this morning and didnt want us to be unaware on Sunday. Better safe than sorry! See you there.

    Dress Code: Cute casual.
DO NOT: Wear heels as this is a farm and high heels are very difficult to walk around in .
DO: Bring your own picnic as they do not provide any food or drinks.
DO: Bring a tent and chairs if you want to sit out on the grassy hill. (optional)

There are plenty of chairs but if you want you can sit on the lawn to view the game...just bring blankets, food and what ever you would like to drink.
