October Geospatial Amateurs meetup

Nathan McEachen will talk about the usefulness of geo-ontologies, and how he used these in building an open source malaria mapping application.

Unfortunately Peter Batty will now be out of town on a last minute business trip so his talk will be deferred to the November meeting.

Brian Behling has kindly stepped in (thanks Brian!) and he will give an overview of MongoDB and its geospatial capabilities.

We will be meeting at Forest Room 5 again.

I agree. Very technical and eye opening on many levels. I got the sense that some open source tools might be born from some of the evenings discussions.
