Tag der offenen Weinkeller – Tag der Arbeit

May 1st is Tag der Arbeit and Tag der offenen Weinkeller in Switzerland. Together with Weinbau Trutmann (http://www.weinbau-trutmann.ch) in Stein am Rhein, AnneMarie and I want to invite you to a special wine tasting.

Experience the beautiful and historical city of Stein am Rhein, a medieval jewel on the Rhine river with excellent wines, traditional food, friends, and new contacts.

The cost is 50 CHF, which covers food and drink and entails a donation to the charity Room to Read (http://www.roomtoread.org/Page.aspx?pid=205&srcid=417&chid=37) for which AnneMarie and Christian will be running the Jungfrau Marathon in September this year.

Spaces are limited to 40, so register today. You can pay at the next Thursday night Stammtisch or when you come.

Please note that if you sign up you are taking a place from someone and to be fair to Weinbau Trutmann and other potential guests, you will be charged the 50 CHF whether you come or not.

Hi, looks interesting and would like to go. Could you tell us if we need a car to get there? What about food for vegetarians? Thank you!

      Hallo Maria,
Also, es gibt Käse, Brot, Fleisch und Kuchen. (Cheese, bread, meat and cake) so if you're okay with cheese and bread, yes vegetarians will also enjoy it. Feel free to drive or take the train. Taking the train means everyone can sample wine.
