* Foodist, chef, traveler, adventurous eater, organic gardener, home canner, pickler, sausage maker, personal chef, entertainer, recipe conjurer, enthusiastic culinary instructor, tradition vs. "trendy", loves to mingle and explore culture & cuisines .... peoples and places. I love to cook, eat and talk "food".... what other reason to start this group? What other reason to join? We all have something to learn from each other, to share, to explore and to discover .... isn't it so much more fun to do it with others who enjoy indulging in the same passions in life?
We will do it all together, cooking, eating, outing, communing, hummmm .... does the potluck culture come to mind??
Now that you know a bit of the directive, my passion for all things culinary as a chef, and my main vein - all you need to do is join me so we can hang out and cook, as I will teach different classes from ethnic foods to omelettes, do some home dinner get-togethers, theme nights, potlucks, recipe exhcanges, food-themed movie nights, market visits, demonstrations, and the occasional visit to ethnic oriented dining at local venues to get some culture, mingle and always welcome new members - this will be the order of the group. Basically getting our Foodist Goove On!
It is for anyone, it ain't rocket science - it is just food... it's just fun... so let's get cookin' and git 'r done!
* Foodists - bona fide food fans — those who read food books, travel to food destinations, and taste obsessively, passionate about food and cooking, savors those little known 'neighborhood gems" and authentic ethnic joints - we are a collective of like-minded food worshipers. We breathe and sleep in order to eat and drink!!
*'Foodie - a person having an avid interest in the latest food fads, one who seeks out trendy new restaurants, wines, and foods only to check them off a laundry list of places to see and be seen.
