Hello, Fellow Wanderers!
I wanted to pass along this invitation I received from a friend who works with the Cleveland Metroparks. Any member of this group can schedule a walk/meetup for us. It is a member-led group. I am not able to lead walks because of a severe injury last summer, but I know there are lots of you out there who also have good organizational abilities! We get 2-3 new members joining daily, and most say they are looking forward to meeting new people who share similar interests. Let's continue to put those opportunities out there on our calendar! If you must cancel a meetup for any reason, please make every effort to contact the attendees before the event to notify them.
Here's the message from my friend, the naturalist:
Members of your group are welcome to come on any of our organized hikes, advertised on our website (clevelandmetroparks.com) or in the monthly Emerald Necklace. On the other hand someone from your group can call the center [masked]); ask for our information specialist, Ingrid) and ask for a program or hike. We have several naturalists and all are familiar with rails in North Chagrin and Euclid Creek Reservations. All we ask is that a group promise an attendance of at least 10 people. The other nature centers would also be happy to book a hike for your group; they also have naturalist staff.
