Minnesota AIDS Walk

Come join me, my mother and a half dozen of my very good friends for the 26th Minnesota AIDS Walk. I’m leading “Annie’s Team” on this 10K (6.2 mile) walk. It begins and ends in Minnehaha Park following the Mississippi River. There are fun activities before and after the walk, and it’s a great fitness goal!

For 26 years, hundreds of walkers have helped raise money to support the Minnesota AIDS Project. When you register, you’ll get your own customizable fundraising webpage with tools and tips to help you raise money for the Minnesota AIDS Walk through email and social networking. The minimum is $20 and there is no registration fee.

To register, go to: http://community.mnaidsproject.org/aids-walk/home2 for more information, to register and sign up for Annie’s Team or contact me if you have any questions. Looking forward to having you on my team!

What a great time we had, and we raised $1,000 for the Minnesota AIDS Project! This will most likely be an annual event for this MeetUp group, so hope to see you next year! Thank you for participating!

We have a team of 12 people registered and raised $900 so far - woohoo! I'm praying that the forecast gets better by Sunday! Thanks for doing this with me!

I just looked at the weather report. Rain is easy, but severe T-storms less so. Thankfully weather reports are often wrong! If they weren't, we would have had spring months ago. Are we planning to meet and walk as a team?

We will plan to meet up before the walk although many plan to arrive at different times. I'd like to get us together for a team photo. We can start walking together but I'm guessing people with different paces will connect and get separated from the group once we start walking. Give me a call when you get there, Betsy, and we'll connect for sure!

Would love to come support you on this, but I'll be in Duluth at my daughter's graduation that weekend. Hope it's a great success and you have NICE weather!

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone's concerned about boys joining the group. :) Thanks for meeting and exceeding your fundraising goal, Betsy!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
